Lecture by Rony Oren

The University of Rijeka Academy of Applied Arts invites all interested to the lecture set to be held by guest lecturer Professor Rony Oren set to be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, starting at 3:00 PM, in room 106 on the first floor of the Academy of Applied Arts. The lecture is open to the general public.

The famous Israeli artist and animator Rony Oren is visiting the
University of Rijeka Academy of Applied Arts on the occasion of publishing his book entitled "Animals in the Wild", published by Planetopija Ltd. in collaboration with the Embassy of the State of Israel.

Rony Oren is a unique artist and an internationally recognized animator. Rony served as Chair of the Animation Department at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. Additionally, Rony has produced and directed over 500 short films and television series, a number of which received international awards. Among the series he has produced are The Egg, Foxy Fables, Tales of a Wise King, and Grabbit the Rabbit. These titles have been broadcasted in over 80 countries and on numerous networks including PBS, ABC, Disney Channel, BBC and Channel 4.

Rony is a world class mentor in stop-motion animation and creation with clay.  Known for his distinct brand of fun and humor, Rony has directed countless clay workshops and classes worldwide.

Throughout the course of his career, Rony Oren has developed a unique method for creating clay characters that is simple and easy to follow. This method is the secret of his stunning success with children, who attend his workshops and watch his television shows time and again.​
