An Agreement was signed on Friday, November 25th 2016, regarding direct grant allocation for the project entitled “Increasing of the access to electronic sources of scientific and professional information e-sources” within the framework of the operative programme “Efficient human potential/resources 2014-2020” in the amount of 133.760.000,00 HRK, whereby 85 % (113.696.000,00 kn) is covered by the European social fund.

The Agreement was signed for a period of 5 years. The signing was attended by:  the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Government Andrej Plenković, M.Sc., the Minister of Science and Education Professor Pavo Barišić, Ph.D., the Minister of Work and Pensions System, Mr. Tomislav Ćorić, Ph.D., among other numerous distinguished guests.

This grant will enable the access to electronic sources– to databases of magazines and books – for all institutions in the Republic of Croatia system of science and higher education. The access will be enabled through the central system which would be managed and lead by the National and University Library in Zagreb. This will immensely facilitate the access and usage of the e-database which will be launched in January 2017.

The participants in the preparation and implementation of this project are the representatives of Croatian universities and different disciplines assembled in the Advisory Board whose member is Professor Marina Vicelja Matijašić from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka who participates on behalf of the UNIRI and for humanistic studies.
