Three new editions of the scientific journal Psychology Topics have been published, within the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka. Two issues were published in Croatian and English and thematic issue in Englsih entitled Emotions: Evolution, Physiology and ExpressionPsychology Topics have been publsihed since 1992 as an almanac of the Department of Psychology.

The frequency of publishing has increased since 2005, up to two editions a year, while since 2011, it has been increased to three annual editions
.

The first edition includes nine research and theoretical papers by Croatian authors from various fields of psychology. The largest number of papers deals with issues of children and young adults: personal, family and environmental factors as well as peer pressure and bullying, as well as socially unacceptable behaviour. Furthermore, perfectionism is discussed, along with comparisons and contrasts between male and female jealousy, adaptation of parents with children who suffer from cerebral palsy, and the impact of alcohol in a simulated driving environment.

The second edition also offers various topics through a total of eight papers. This edition also covers the topic of perfectionism, which is linked to exam anxiety in students. Furthermore, a closer look is taken at sources of worry in secondary school pupils and their health issues.

The third edition of ‘Psychology Topics’ from 2012 is dedicated to occupational psychology and organizational psychology
