Info Day for Erasmus Students

The University of Rijeka International Mobility Office organized an Info Day on March 1st, 2017 in the Faculty of Civil Engineering building on the UNIRI Campus for incoming Erasmus students who arrived at the University of Rijeka for the sixth year running within the LLP Erasmus.

There are 181 Erasmus students at the University of Rijeka in the academic year 2016/2017, of which 82 in the summer semester.

21 students are set to study at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management within the summer semester 2016/2017 from Finland, Italy, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Spain, Great Britain and Portugal.

17 students are set to study at the Faculty of Economics from Romania, Finland, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, France and the Netherlands.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is set to host 17 students from Italy, Latvia, Poland and Slovenia.

The Faculty of Engineering is set to host 10 students from Finland and Poland.

Seven students from Greece, Lithuania, Estonia, Spain and Poland are set to study at the Faculty of Maritime Studies.

The Faculty of Law is set to host three students from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Greece.

Four students from Slovakia and Turkey are set to study at the Faculty of Teacher Education.

Two students from Macedonia will be hosted at the Department of Informatics.

The Vice-Rector for Studies and Students, Professor Snježana Prijić Samaržija, and Maša Šašinka, the Head of the UNIRI International Mobility Office, held a welcoming speech and wished them a successful, useful and fun stay during their stay within our university.
The students were acquainted with the Erasmus Student Network activities by the ESN members and with the possibilities of enrolling in Croatian language courses by the Head of the Rijeka School of Croatian Studies, Željka Macan, and assistant lecturer Sandra Jukić.

Following the formal reception, the students left for a sight-seeing tour of Rijeka and Opatija accompanied by their Croatian colleagues from the Erasmus Student Network Rijeka.
