Minister Divjak at UNIRI

Professor Blaženka Divjak, Ph.D., Minister of Science and Education, visited the University of Rijeka on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018. The Inaugural Reception was held at the University of Rijeka Rectorate, and the University of Rijeka Rector Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., welcomed Minister Divjak and the Ministry's delegation.
The delegation was greeted by Madam Rector and members of the Rector's Management Board: Full Prof. Sanja Barić, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Studies and Students, Full Prof. Goran Turkalj, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Organization and Infrastructure Management, Associate Prof. Davor Vašiček, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Finance, and Associate Prof. Alen Ružić, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Science.
The delegation was welcomed in front of the UNIRI Rectorate and the Student Union of the University of Rijeka and students from the UNIRI Faculty of Engineering from RiTeh Racing Formula Student Team, RiTeh Waterbike Team and Adria Hydrofoil Team presented their projects: racing car, hydrofoil and waterbike.
After Minister Divjak signed in the book of honorary guests, the 10th (exceptional) UNIRI Senate Session followed and it focused on the priorities of the University of Rijeka and current issues.  
The visit of Minister Divjak and her team is the first of many activities set to take place throughout the year which will mark the 45th anniversary of the University of Rijeka and the 385th anniversary of high education in Rijeka.
