Senate and Council's Session

A thematic, 20th session of the UNIRI Senate and the University Council was held on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, at the Aula Magna hall at the University of Rijeka Rectorate. The session focused on the topic of ''Challenges and Strategic Development of the University of Rijeka'' with the aim of information and ideas exchange for strategic development and possible directions.
Professor Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., University of Rijeka Rector, opened the session with her introductory lecture on the implementation of strategic indicators and priorities of the action plan. Madam Rector also presented the conclusions of the discussions with the stakeholders arising from their visits to the University constituents, the work of the International Scientific Council, communication with students, young researchers, as well as with the Council for Competitiveness of the Urban Agglomeration Rijeka. Mr. Mladen Pejković, President of the University Council, held a presentation on the development of the University of Rijeka and new strategic guidelines
In the second part of the thematic session, Prof. Sanja Barić, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Studies and Students, held a presentation on the student attracting policies, while Prof. Alen Ružić, M.D., Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Science, initiated the discussion with his lecture on the politics of promoting scientific productivity and improving one's position in ranking systems. Professor Davor Vašiček, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Finance, talked about the policy of improving the system of financing and co-operation with the economy, while Prof. Senka Maćešić, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Informatization and Organization, gave a lecture on the policy of improving the information-communication system.
