Results of HRMinHEI Project

The results of the project entitled ''Modernisation of Higher Education Institutions through Enhancement of Human Resources Management Function'' (HRMinHEI) were presented on Friday, November 30th, 2018, at the University of Rijeka Rectorate.

The HRMinHEI project is a two-year project (2016-2018) funded by the EU's Erasmus+ program, whose purpose is to stimulate discussions on the organizational efficiency of higher education institutions, the ways in which higher education institutions develop and monitor human potentials and encourage their excellence. The Agency for Science and Higher Education is the holder of this project, and the partners are the University of Rijeka, UNIRI Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Algebra University of Higher Education, Danube University Krems from Austria and the University of Tampere from Finland.

Professor Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., University of Rijeka Rector, opened the event and emphasized the importance of raising awareness among the human resource management institutes themselves and formalizing their function. Madam Rector added: ''The HRMinHEI project gave rise to certain processes and tools useful to the University of Rijeka, and, I believe, to other higher education institutions in Croatia and Europe.''

The conference also served as an opportunity to present an innovative online tool for self-evaluation and analysis of Human Resources Management (HRM) functions at European higher education institutions developed within the scope of the project. The online tool is available to higher education institutions from Croatia and across Europe on the following website:
